We spent a few crazy weeks in Japan so my wife could run the Tokyo Marathon. It also happened to be the start of cherry blossom season, which meant large crowds, stalking trees like paparrazi.

Finally spotted some Tokyo wildlife. . . Seriously though, what’s up with all these omnipresent big-headed creatures? Are they modern-day replacements for the the 8 million Shinto gods?

Most of our trip was cold and rainy. We ate at little ramen shops under the tracks. And the food was divine. After a few days, I was ready to don a trench coat and start hunting down replicants.

In Shibuya, I accidentally stepped into a Gorillaz pop-up event. Yeah, way too cool for me. . . Great fake clouds though.

In Japan they love weird prepackaged seafood sold out of giant vending machines. . . No, wait. . . this pic is from the Natural History Museum. . . my bad.
